Planning Your Stay? Here's What To Expect.
We believe in being transparent about the quirks of our historical building so that you know what to expect - and hopefully, come to love it as much as we do.
Noise & Acoustics: Staying in a Living Piece of History
Our Pavilion’s walls are thinner than those in modern hotels, which means you may hear conversations, footsteps, or doors closing from nearby rooms. While many guests appreciate the building’s historic charm, we know noise can be a consideration.
We’re gradually improving sound insulation while preserving the Pavilion’s character. During quieter seasons, noise is rarely an issue, but during major shooting competitions and events, early morning activity and guests returning later in the evening can make the building livelier.
If you’re sensitive to noise or want details about your room’s location, contact us at hello@canadianpavilion.co.uk, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Limited Ensuite Rooms
As part of our ongoing restoration, we currently have five ensuite rooms, with plans to add more over the next 1-2 years while preserving the Pavilion’s historic charm.
Most rooms have shared but modern 3-piece bathrooms (toilet, sink, and shower), conveniently located just across the hall or nearby. Many have been recently updated.
We understand shared bathrooms aren’t for everyone, but they’re part of the Pavilion’s unique balance of history and comfort. If you prefer an ensuite, let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Buffet Breakfast: Gather & Dine
Breakfast is included with your stay and served buffet-style for a relaxed, self-service experience.
Continental breakfast is always guaranteed and includes a selection of toast, bagels, spreads, cereals, fruit, pastries, coffee, and tea. All items are based on market availability.
During busier periods, when we have 10 or more guests, we also serve a warm breakfast at no extra charge. This typically includes scrambled, fried, or poached eggs, streaky bacon, pork sausages, hashbrowns, mushrooms, breads and bagels with a toaster, jams and spreads, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea.
Seating arrangements may vary depending on the season, with either separate round tables or a communal setup with one large shared table. The Pavilion was originally built to foster camaraderie among Canadian sports teams, and breakfast remains a time for guests to gather and share stories.
